Competition rules
These competition rules explain how SFS Airsoft UK competitions operate. The rules for each individual competition are also shown on that competition's entry page and form part of the terms for that competition.
1. Promoter
The promoter is SFS Airsoft UK.
For competition questions, complaints or requests, contact competitions@sfsairsoftuk.com.
2. How our competitions work
SFS Airsoft UK operates skill-based prize competitions. Entry requires the entrant to answer the competition question.
The competition question is intended to require genuine skill, knowledge or judgement. Questions are not intended to be simple general-knowledge questions, multiple-choice questions or questions designed merely to make entry automatic.
Only entries which satisfy the applicable competition requirements and provide the required correct answer can be considered for the relevant prize draw.
The exact question, entry price, maximum number of entries, closing date, eligibility requirements and prize are stated on the individual competition page.
3. Eligibility
Unless an individual competition states otherwise, competitions are intended for persons aged 18 or over.
We may require age or identity verification before an entry is accepted, before a winner is confirmed, or before a prize is released.
Additional eligibility requirements may apply to particular prizes. These requirements will be displayed on the relevant competition page.
Where a prize is subject to legal restrictions, SFS Airsoft UK will not release the prize until the required eligibility and verification requirements have been satisfactorily completed.
Providing a typed membership, registration or reference number does not by itself establish eligibility where further verification is required.
4. Airsoft and restricted prizes
Some airsoft prizes may be subject to additional legal restrictions. A prize being displayed on the website does not remove any legal requirement applying to its supply or possession.
Where a prize is a realistic imitation firearm or otherwise restricted item, the winner must satisfy all applicable legal requirements before the prize can be supplied.
SFS Airsoft UK may require appropriate evidence and verification before releasing a restricted prize. We will not treat an unverified number or statement supplied by an entrant as conclusive proof of eligibility.
If a selected winner cannot legally receive the advertised prize, the prize will not be supplied to that person. The applicable winner, verification and redraw provisions will then apply.
5. Entry
Entry is completed using the process shown on the individual competition page.
The entry price and any applicable entry limits are displayed before payment is completed.
An entry is not guaranteed merely because a payment attempt has been started. An entry must be successfully recorded by our systems and satisfy the competition requirements.
We may reject or cancel an entry where payment has failed, has been reversed, has been identified as fraudulent or unauthorised, or where the entry otherwise does not satisfy these rules.
6. Entry limits
Individual competitions may have maximum entry limits and individual entrant limits. Any applicable limit will be shown on the relevant competition page.
We may refuse or cancel entries which exceed an applicable published limit.
7. Competition question
Each competition has a published question which forms part of the entry process.
Entrants are responsible for submitting their answer carefully. The submitted answer must be correct before the entrant can continue to payment for that competition entry.
An incorrect answer does not create a qualifying entry and no payment is taken for that unsuccessful attempt. The entrant may submit another answer, subject to the website's applicable security and misuse controls.
Only an entry completed after the required correct answer and satisfying the applicable competition requirements can enter the qualifying pool for winner selection.
8. Closing the competition
Each competition has a published closing date and time.
Entries received after the published closing point will not be accepted unless the competition rules expressly provide otherwise.
We will not routinely change a published closing date or a significant competition condition. If an exceptional change is required, the updated information will be communicated clearly and the applicable rules will be followed.
9. Winner selection
After a competition closes, entries are checked against the applicable competition requirements. Only qualifying verified entries are included in the winner-selection pool.
Where the pool contains one or more qualifying verified entries, one entry is selected at random from that pool as the selected winner.
The selected winner remains subject to any final winner verification required by these rules before the prize is released.
Records of the qualifying pool and winner-selection process are retained for audit and administration purposes so that the selection can be reviewed against the recorded competition entries.
10. Winner verification
A selected winner may be required to provide information or evidence needed to confirm identity, age, eligibility or the legal ability to receive the prize.
Verification must be completed within any reasonable period communicated to the selected winner.
If the selected winner cannot be verified, does not satisfy the competition eligibility requirements, cannot legally receive the prize, or cannot reasonably be contacted, SFS Airsoft UK may apply the applicable redraw or alternative winner procedure.
11. Prizes
The prize available for each competition is described on the individual competition page.
Prizes are not transferable unless the individual competition states otherwise.
A prize will not be replaced with a cash alternative unless the individual competition expressly states that a cash alternative is available or the applicable circumstances require an alternative arrangement.
Where a prize is supplied by a third-party manufacturer, retailer or supplier, any applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty will be subject to that provider's own terms.
12. Prize fulfilment
Once a winner has successfully completed any required verification, SFS Airsoft UK will arrange delivery of the prize by courier to the delivery details confirmed for the winner.
Competition prizes are fulfilled by courier delivery. Collection is not part of the standard competition prize fulfilment process.
Delivery requirements, geographical restrictions and any additional requirements applicable to a particular prize will be stated on the competition page where relevant.
Restricted prizes will not be dispatched until all applicable legal and verification requirements have been completed.
13. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed through the payment method offered at checkout.
A payment which is cancelled, reversed, disputed, refunded or otherwise not successfully completed does not create a valid paid competition entry.
Where SFS Airsoft UK cancels an entry or competition and a refund is due, the refund will be handled using the payment method and process applicable to the original transaction.
Nothing in these competition rules removes or limits any statutory consumer rights that apply.
14. Cancellation or withdrawal
SFS Airsoft UK may cancel or withdraw a competition where this is necessary because of legal, technical, operational, security or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of the promoter.
Where a competition is cancelled, we will communicate the applicable arrangements to affected entrants, including any refund arrangements where appropriate.
We will not use cancellation or changes to avoid awarding an advertised prize where the competition can reasonably and lawfully proceed.
15. Fraud and misuse
We may investigate activity which appears fraudulent, unauthorised, abusive or intended to interfere with the fair operation of a competition.
Entries may be rejected or cancelled where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has attempted to manipulate the competition, payment process, answer process or winner selection.
16. Complaints
If you have a complaint about a competition, payment, entry, verification or prize, contact:
Please provide enough information for us to identify the relevant competition and transaction so that we can investigate the matter.
17. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be used where necessary to administer entries, process payments, verify eligibility, select and contact winners, fulfil prizes, prevent fraud, maintain records and comply with legal obligations.
18. Changes to these rules
These rules may be updated where necessary to reflect changes to our services, competition mechanisms, legal requirements or operational processes.
Any significant competition condition applicable to an active promotion will be communicated clearly and will not be changed routinely.
19. Governing law
These rules are intended to be governed by the law applicable to the SFS Airsoft UK promotion and the courts having appropriate jurisdiction.
The final governing-law and jurisdiction wording should be confirmed against the promoter's business details before paid competitions launch.
20. Individual competition rules
The individual competition page is part of these rules. If an individual competition contains additional conditions relating to its prize, eligibility, entry limit, closing date, question, verification or fulfilment, those conditions apply to that competition.
